We’re in the middle of July, and Pokemon Pocket has started a new Summer Event to keep us tied over as we wait for news for the upcoming expansion set, as well as the implementation of the new Trade Update.
Celebrating Summer
Log-in Rewards
To celebrate the season of summer, Pokemon Pocket has started this little two-week event where players can earn the following in-game rewards by just logging into the game 8 times throughout the 2-week run time:
- A 9-card frame backdrop, and;
- A total of 24 Pack Hourglasses (2 pack pulls)
Summer Event Missions
As part of the summer celebration event, 10 side missions are available for the players to complete to earn some extra rewards. A player can earn the following once all side-missions are completed:
- 36 Pack Hourglasses (3 pack pulls),
- 24 Wonder Hourglasses,
- 24 Trade Hourglasses, and;
- 250 Trade Tokens.
All-in-all, for a total of 5 pack pulls, it’s a nice little event for players to farm with the next expansion supposedly on the horizon.
The Trade Hourglasses and Trade Tokens as part of the rewards are a little suspect, though. It could be a holdover of the current design, or it could be the developers making sure that players can get last-minute trades in.
At the very least, newer players to Pokemon Pocket can avail of the 60 Pack Hourglasses in the exchange shop once the Trade Update goes live at the end of the month.
The End of the Month
Rounding off this little update, players of Pokemon Pocket have a couple of things to look forward to at the end of the month, outside of the Trade Feature update.
As a general disclaimer, however, what we’ll be talking about here will mostly be speculation from the Pokemon Pocket community.
We don’t have any official announcements from TPCi (The Pokemon Company international), so with anything of this nature, always take it with a dose of skepticism.
Eevee Mass Outbreak
Given how the previous expansion, Extradimensional Crisis, had a Mass Outbreak event featuring the Ultra Beasts, there’s a high likelihood that Eevee Grove will be having its own event soon.
Some third-party sources like Pokemon Zone have supposedly been able to narrow down the timeframe of the event to happen between the 21st to the 30th of July.
According to information floating around the internet, the Mass Outbreak Event will not only include special Wonder Pick selection packs but also a bout of missions to earn some extra in-game resources.
Assuming all missions are accomplished, players will supposedly be able to gather:
- 21 Shop Tickets,
- 15 Wonder Hourglasses, and;
- A promotional Eevee card
The Next Expansion
Consumers/fans of card games are always looking forward to the future when it comes to in-game content.
Unfortunately, the developers for Pokemon Pocket have been keeping things under some pretty tight wraps as we’ve yet to hear or see anything, even at the unofficial capacity, for Pokemon Pocket’s upcoming expansion.
All we know so far from rumors and speculations is that the next set of Pokemon Pocket cards may be coming on the 30th of July.
There’s also an upcoming Pokemon Presents presentation that will be streamed sometime on the 22nd of July, 9 pm PST, thanks to an announcement post made to the Pokemon Company’s X account.
This may not be anything conclusive, but Western audiences may catch a glimpse of any sneak peeks or actual announcements for Pokemon Pocket when the time comes.
