It looks like the world of Pokemon Pocket has managed to stretch into the entertainment circle of VTubers.
The VTubers agency, Nijisanji, will be offering viewers a chance to earn Pack Hourglasses during its Pokemon Pocket tournament this weekend.
Announcement Details
This announcement first came to our attention thanks to the vigilance of the online Pokemon Pocket community over at Reddit.
Following this back, we can see that Nijisanji’s Japanese branch made the official announcement on their X social media account.

Thanks to some rough translations, the announcement mentions that Nijisanji would be hosting a Pokemon Pocket tournament this coming July 5th at 4 pm. There’s no clarification on the timezone, so we’re assuming it would be at GMT+9.
Furthermore, the gift code will supposedly be revealed during this tournament stream that is to be hosted on their official YouTube channel.
As far as we know, gift codes for Pokemon Pocket are not region-locked. Those 24 Pack Hourglasses to be given away would easily equate to two free card packs of choice. This isn’t too shabby considering the effort involved in getting the gift code.
Once given out, the announcement mentions that the code will be available up until the end of next month (August 2025).
Those interested in these packs can either drop by the Nijisanji Pokemon Pocket stream or you can check in on Reddit. It looks like there is a hope that someone will play the good Samaritan and disseminate the code for others to easily collect.
Redeeming Gift Codes
While this isn’t the first time gift codes have been given out, we don’t want to assume that everyone is familiar with the process of redeeming them.

For the uninitiated, you can go to Pokemon Pocket’s official redemption webpage. From there, it’s just a simple process of filling out the appropriate text boxes with the gift code and your Support ID from the app.
Once confirmation has been made, the items should appear in your Pokemon Pocket account/app after a couple of minutes.
