With the 2025 Pokemon World Championship about a week away, TPCi (The Pokemon Company International) has announced free giveaways in celebration of this prestigious event.
Celebrating the 2025 World Championship
The 2025 Pokemon World Championship is scheduled to be held in Anaheim, California this coming August 15th to 17th. Unfortunately, events of such status can only accommodate so many attendees physically.
In an effort to celebrate with other members of the community who won’t be able to attend in person, TPCi will be giving out special giveaways during the World Championship livestream(s) on both their official Twitch and YouTube channels.
Pokemon Twitch Drops
For players of Pokemon TCG Live and Pokemon Pocket in particular, TPCi had mentioned that enabling Twitch Drops will allow viewers of the event to get the following giveaways.
For Pokemon Pocket:
- 12 Wonder Hourglasses, and;
- 12 Pack Hourglasses.
*Viewers would have to tune in for at least 45 minutes.
**Redemption for this giveaway will be valid until July 31st, 2026.
For Pokemon TCG Live:
- Pokemon Live Peripherals (Deck box, card sleeves, and coins) themed around the 2025 World Championship,
- Illustration Rares (IRs) of the Hydreigon ex evolution chain*, and;
- IRs of Frillish, Jellicent ex, Hilda, and N’s Plan**.

***Pokemon TCG Live Twitch Drops are redeemable until September 18th, 2025
For those who have yet to enable Twitch Drops, you can do so by logging into your Trainer Club Account and then linking it to your preferred Twitch account. You can follow the steps listed on the official Pokemon website, here.
Pokemon TCG Live Eelektros Illustration Rare
The original announcement made by TPCi has also mentioned that players of Pokemon TCG Live will be able to redeem a 5-card pack featuring: IRs of the Eelektros evolution chain (including Tynamo and Eelektrik), Hilda, and N’s Plan until August 25th, 2026.
Unfortunately, the language used by TPCi was a little unclear on what form this particular giveaway would take. Other segments from their announcement would specifically state if a passcode would be used or if the redeemable items would be given out via Twitch Drops.
Given the original wording of their article, we’re assuming that this particular 5-card pack will be made redeemable via a passcode while watching the livestream for the 2025 Pokemon World Championship.
That said, we have come across third-party websites that mention players of Pokemon TCG Live would be able to redeem this particular card pack by just logging into the game starting on August 14th.
It may be a prudent move for players interested in this particular redemption to check their Pokemon TCG Live account the day of the Pokemon World Championship for the card pack, as well as tune in to the livestream(s) for any passcode. It may be a little tedious, but it doesn’t hurt to have all bases covered.
