Pokémon fans invested in the Trading Card Game’s (TCG’s) digital cousin, Pokémon TCG Pocket, were blindsided as a TikTok video announcing a future expansion pack, Triumphant Lights, was released.
Well, kind of. It's clear now that, if this was a real promotional video, that it was not intended to be released. Since there is no guarantee that this is real, do remember that there is a chance that what this article discusses could be fake. That said, the contents do look legitimate.
Featuring Arceus ex with a design reminiscent of the Platinum—Arceus expansion (circa 2009) in the physical card game, players were left both equally excited and confused at the prospect of adding another legendary Pokémon to their portfolio.
Excitement, because Pokémon TCG Pocket had released Space-Time Smackdown, its third overall expansion featuring other legendary Pokémon -Palkia and Dialga-, just last month. Confusion, because there was no other announcement. And as far as personal investigations go, the original video is nowhere to be found now.
According to more intrepid members of the Pokémon Pocket community, the video was uploaded by mistake but is actually a confirmation of an upcoming expansion. At the time of this writing, it has already been taken down.
Other skeptical players believe that the video was artificially made by rogue elements. Either way, this video has already made the rounds on the Internet and is creating rumblings in the player base.
Online communities found in Reddit and X (formerly known as Twitter) are already dissecting the video with community members doing their best to enhance and clean up the cards shown in the game.

So far, the clearest images shown are from cards like Eevee, Magnemite, and Golbat. From the snippets of gameplay provided in the video, there appears to be a Garchomp facing Arceus in the active Pokémon slots while a Gibble sits on the bench.
Some fans think the entire Garchomp line is shown but the possibility of a Gabite on the bench is still difficult to discern. It would make sense for Gabite to be a part of the set because it is the bridge between Gible and Garchomp.

But what’s really getting hopeful players excited should this video prove to be true, are the Heatran and Crobat supporting Arceus. Members over at Reddit have traced the text featured in the blurred images on the Pokémon cards and are convinced that abilities dependent on Arceus’ continued presence on the active slot will be a feature of this set should it actually see release.
So far the Pokémon Company International (TPCi) has not made any official announcements regarding the video. There is also no upcoming news relating to an expansion featuring the title of ‘Triumphant Lights’.
The internet is a wild and untamed place. Leaks -accidentally or not- should not be taken at face value as they can either be proven true or false. For the time being, fans should wait patiently for TPCi to make any official announcements.
