You can always count on creative players to make obscure cards work to their advantage.

Number 69: Heraldry Crest - Dark Matter Demolition is probably the most obscure card on this list, just by the factthat the Heraldic Beasts archetype is pretty much below the radar for most players, even those who like to make use of rogue strategies.

Some inventive players, however, have been concocting some creative methods of getting this particular XYZ monster out quickly and consistently, namely using the Ryzeal engine.

By using Ext Ryzeal to immediately send Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch into the graveyard, you can bring into rotation Heraldic Beast Leo and Heraldic Beast Gryphon. Using Leo, you can also bring out Heraldic Beast Stad Whale.

It’s a simple one-card combo between both archetypes that brings to bear a lot of resources for different play lines.

While board building can differ depending on board state and if a player is going second or first, just having the ability to get Number 69: Heraldry Crest - Dark Matter Demolition out so quickly makes it better than it normally is.

Invoked Magistus Omega

Nothing insane, just solid piece of support.

The first thought that comes to mind for Invoked Magistus Omega is that it can be a pretty good Invocation or Super Polymerization target for its two archetypes, Magistus and Invoked, just because of how prevalent extra deck summoning is in modern Yu-Gi-Oh!

That said, the controlling player could sequence Invoked Magistus Omega’s summoning a little further down the combo chain just so its on-summon effect could theoretically get rid of anything problematic that’s currently on the field.

Other than that, it’s just a solid piece of extension that could float into another body if destroyed. It’s nothing too game-breaking, but stable support is always welcomed in archetypes that aren’t necessarily a hot topic in the modern competitive scene.

Gem-Knight Master Diamond Dispersion

Looks like Master Duel is getting Gem-Knight support earlier than expected.

It looks like the theorists who intuited that Konami bringing back Block Dragon and Brilliant Fusion to three copies was a sign of incoming Gem-Knight support were right. We don’t know for sure if all the new Gem-Knight support that recently debuted in the physical card game will make the transition into Master Duel, but Gem-Knight Master Diamond Dispersion's existence may spark interest in Gem-Knight players to pick up the archetype again.

As for its overall abilities, Gem-Knight Mast Diamond Dispersion mostly fulfills the role of an extender as it can bring out up to three bodies into rotation. Coupled with decent, if a little standard, attack stat and the occasional self-recursion, it looks like Gem-Knights might have a few new tricks up their sleeves for this format.

Regenesis Lord

It won't be winning games on its own, but it can defintiely enable victory.

The boss monster of the Regenesis archetype. This card can be a little underwhelming outside of its Spell/Trap card search function, but given the fact that the opponent will end up staring down the barrel of 5,000 attack power that can inflict piercing battle damage, there’s still a need to be wary of this card’s appearance.

The Regenesis archetype, while an interesting one in the physical TCG (Trading Card Game), was grossly overshadowed by its peers. but as far as secondary engines go, Regenesis offers robust mid-to-late game resources as these big bodies keep bringing themselves back repeatedly.

Seeing as the Master Duel format tends to be this weird halfway point between TCG and OCG (Official Card Game), this may be a better area for this archetype to shine if given a chance.

Allied Code Talker @Ignister

At this rate, Maliss will reign supreme in Master Duel for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately, for a lot of the cards debuting in this Selection Pack, Allied Code talker @Ignister has definitely stolen the attention of players. At the moment, Master Duel is re-enacting the era of Ryzeal vs Maliss in the TCG, some months back. The appearance of Allied Code Talker @Ignister might just tip the scales further into Maliss’ favor.

Not only does Allied Code talker @Ignister just play well with Maliss by the virtue of being a Cyberse monster, but Allied Code talker @Ignister is an oppressive force in an archetype that sleeps, breathes, and eats Link monsters; a potential 3,800 beatstick that doubles as an omni-negate for 3 separate occasions as long as it’s pointing to a Link monster it can sacrifice.

Maliss was kept in check in the TCG due to Ryzeal being able to keep some form of equal footing and the eventual release of the Mitsurigi archetype.

Unfortunately, Master Duel may be heading into a different form of history with the appearance of Allied Code talker @Ignister; one that may see Maliss reigning supreme until a challenger is ready to fight for the title of best in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.
