It looks like the second-hand market is once again showing movement ahead of the upcoming release of Duelist’s Advance (July) and Justice Hunters (August).
This time, it’s Vanquish Soul as cards that have been sitting in obscurity for less than a dollar since the tail end of 2024 have now just soared to over 1000% their original value.
Vanquish Soul Heavy Borger

Starting off, Vanquish Soul Heavy Borger sets some precedents to come for the others on this list.
With a market value of less than a dollar to its name back at the end of 2024, this card started to see an uptick around the end of March 2025. Heavy Borger then slowly climbed to a $4 average over the majority of April. Following this, it'd hit around $12-$14 later in May.
For better or worse, this first spike was somewhat short-lived, as prices would fall somewhat in early June. More recently, however, prices have bounced back again, pushing up to $14. This is most likely due to the World Championship Qualifier (WCQ) that occurred in China just last weekend (June 21st).
In this particular WCQ, a majority of top top-place finishers were using Vanquish Soul decks.
While not the most integral of pieces for a Vanquish Soul deck, Heavy Borger offers some much-needed hand modularity. The archetype needs specific attributes in hand to activate some of its more esoteric effects.
The fact that Borger does all of its abilities at Quick Effect speed solidifies its slot in the deck, regardless of the number of copies.
If a player wants a faster close on a match, Borger can technically make 3,000 lifepoints a lethal point due to its ability to invoke burn damage on both the opponent’s and the controlling player’s turn.
Vanquish Soul Razen

Vanquish Soul Razen follows some of the steps that Heavy Borger had pioneered. Razen shared in the obscurity of being less than a dollar back in 2024. Copies of Razen began ticking up in value in April.
It then leapt into even higher values in May before sliding into a downward trend in June, before bouncing back. While this trajectory is similar, it's worth noting that Vanquish Soul Razen is significantly more expensive.
At its peak, Vanquish Soul Razen sold for $32; however, it's now selling for around $24.
Prismatic Rarity aside, Vanquish Soul Razen is the archetype’s original combo starter. It’s basically the ‘Stratos’ of the deck. If you’re going second, Razen can also clear at least one column of the board with its non-targeting destruction.
That said, thanks to Duelist’s Advance introducing Vanquish Soul, Start! and Vanquish Soul Hollie Sue into the archetype’s line-up, Razen can also function as a combo extender for maneuvering around staple disruption cards.
Vanquish Soul Jiaolong

Like the other Vanquish Soul support cards we've talked about, the price of Vanquish Soul Jiaolong has fluctuated heavily in the past few months. Unlike the other cards, which have dipped heavily, however, Jiaolong has steadily been trending up.
After starting out at around a dollar, Vanquish Soul Jiaolon is now selling for an average of $19 on TCGplayer.
It appears that Jiaolong’s value was heightened when people realized that he was not only another potential ‘Stratos’ but also because Jiaolong could bridge into the upcoming K9 engine (Justice Hunters) to bring out Ripper or Hound with the right partner.
