Konami’s latest expansion for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG), named Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem, is almost upon us. Bizarrely, due to some printing issues, this set won't experience the same worldwide release, which is unusual for TCG Yu-Gi-Oh! sets.
To ease any confusion, here's everything you need to know about Yu-Gi-Oh! Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem.
Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem Release Date

The Yu-Gi-Oh The Battles of Legend Monster Mayhem Release Date is June 13th for the regions of Canada, the United States and parts of Latin America.
As for the rest of the world, the hiccup with this set’s production run has forced Konami to reschedule the release in certain regions. For the affected regions of Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania, the new release date for Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem is August 28th.
Alongside this new release date, Konami has also confirmed in a recent X post that cards from this set will not be legal for the upcoming World Championship Qualifier (WCQ) Tournaments in Oceania and Europe.
Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem Set Information
During Konami’s original unveiling, they confirmed that Monster Mayhem would contain 177 cards. While this expansion would contain reprints of modern-day powerhouses like Primite, most cards from this set would focus more on the game’s (current) rogue archetypes.

Including new support cards for the likes of Orcust, P.U.N.K., Dragonmaid, Gem-knight, D/D, and more, Battles of Legend may truly shake up the current metagame. We’ve compiled some of these new releases below:
- Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem - More D/D and Dragonmaid Support
- New P.U.N.K. and Orcust Support in Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem
- Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem Shine with New Gem-Knight Support
More importantly, the marquee features of this particular set are the chibi alternative art cards, the return of Starlight Rare cards, and the emblazoned Ultra Rare (UR) cards featuring custom emblems of the marked card’s archetype.
Konami made it abundantly clear that interested players would be able to get their hands on the last one in particular. Each pack of Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem is advertised to contain 1 emblazoned UR card from either the Orcust, P.U.N.K., or Dragonmaid archetype.
Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem isn’t a set that will raise eyebrows like Crossover Breakers did last year. This series of expansions has usually been about the celebration of the game’s rich history by reprinting and expanding its older generation of archetypes.
Some players may mourn the lost chance to test some of the newer cards in a competitive setting. But there are tools in the community’s arsenal, like Dueling Book or EDOpro, to emulate these conditions.
And there’s still the faint hope that Konami might make this expansion legal for the World Championship for those interested in bringing these cards into such a prestigious event.
