Fresh from the success of its first Universes Beyond set, The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth, Hasbro chief executive officer Chris Cocks revealed to investors on Tuesday that they will be putting out two more similar sets each year beginning in 2025.

Cocks told investors that the Universes Beyond initiative, which aims to incorporate Magic: The Gathering game rules and concepts with other intellectual properties, is not only a big hit among the genre’s targeted audience but also among new players.

The numbers speak for themselves. An article from MTG Rocks described the Universes Beyond set as earning over $200 million and taking less than six months to do so. This record is double what is typically expected of traditional MTG sets.

Because of this, Cocks says in the corporate press release, Hasbro will be releasing additional Universes Beyond premiere sets, starting with a Fallout set that will be coming out next month, in March.

By 2025, however, the company will be doubling up on its Universes Beyond releases, starting with a Final Fantasy-themed set.

Cocks also indicated in his statement that there will be multiple Marvel franchises that will be brought on board to the initiative after the Final Fantasy premiere set is released.

Some cards bundled in the Universes Beyond: Fallout premiere set have been previously revealed during last August’s Gen Con, together with the Final Fantasy and Assassin’s Creed sets.

Before more Fallout cards could be revealed, an eagle-eyed Reddit user caught an eBay listing advertising a Universes Beyond: Fallout card called “War Room.”

Styled around the Brotherhood of Steel faction, this land is a reprint of a Commander Legends card. Allowing players to play three mana and life to draw a card, War Room sees healthy play in Commander.

More cards from the Fallout MTG set are due to be revealed on the 20th of February, 2024.
