The Crimson Haze Pokémon TCG set was announced at Japan's Championship League Fukuoka. This series of cards will be released on March 22, the same day as the Temporal Forces releases in the US. This set should be included in the Twilight Masquerade set that the US will get in May, which will also have the April release of Mask of Change.
Two of the illustrated rares for Crimson Haze were recently revealed. These are none other than Poltchageist and Heliolisk. Not much more outside of that was shown other than the art design for these cards, and they are pretty stunning. The Poltchageist card features the Pokémon but also a child looking almost surprised, while the Heliolisk card shows the Pokémon jumping out of some greenery into the shot.
Poltchageist is a grass-type Pokémon with an HP of 30. It is a basic Pokemon with the ability of Shadowy Concealment. As long as this Pokémon is on your Bench, prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks (both yours and your opponent’s). It has a Weakness to Fire, a resistance to none, has 1 retreat, and also deals 10 damage.
Heliolisk is an electric Pokémon that has 100 HP, and is a Stage 1 that evolves from Helipotile. Wild Charge does 70 damage as its attack moves. This Pokémon also does 20 damage to itself. Its weakness is fighting and has a resistance of none with 1 retreat.
These translations are from PokeBeach.
These cards are supposed to have English printings, so both Japan and America can have these beautiful cards. Only a handful of other illustration rares have been revealed for this set so far. There is going to be a Hisuian Growlithe, Eevee, Greninja ex, Perrin, and Lana's Assistance rare special illustration card.
To make things even better, the Hisuian Growlithe and Perrin cards go together, making a cute two-card story in which Perrin stands in front of Hisuian Growlite, taking its picture, and the Pokémon looks back with such a happy face.
The Crimson Haze series features many characters, including Pokémon from The Teal Mask DLC. This includes trainers like Perrin and new Pokémon like Poltchageist's final evolution, Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex, and more.
Those who wish to collect these cards in the US will need to purchase the Japanese version or wait until it is released in the US in the form of Twilight Masquerade, which also likely features these cards. Remember that Crimson Haze releases in Japan for purchase on March 22.
