Konami has decided not to keep us wanting as they have officially announced Justice Hunters for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG).

With Alliance Insight already slated for the 2nd of May and Duelist’s Advance planned for July 4th, the future is already looking bright. To make things even brighter, Konami has announced that Justice Hunters is releasing to Western shores on August 1st.

It's finally been announced for the TCG.

According to Konami’s official page, Justice Hunters will contain a roster of 60 cards divided into the following rarities:

  • 10 Ultra Rares
  • 10 Super Rares; and,
  • 40 Rares -with the occasional upgrade to Super Rare-

With the Battle of Legends: Monster Mayhem set (June 13th) marking the return of the coveted Starlight Rare, Konami has hinted that some cards may be available with this special treatment.

New Archetypes

This expansion’s marquis features are the new archetypes, K9, Yummy, and Dragon Tale. Each one centered around a different type of extra deck monster.

K9: XYZ

Stopping monster hand traps before they can commit any tricks.

The K9 archetype, presented as a special law enforcement group, brings together teamwork and special tactics to make sure the opponent is unable to use their wily monster effects from the hand. Or at the very least, make it difficult to do so.

If more force is necessary, their specialization in XYZ summoning will ensure a rapid response to any tomfoolery.

Yummy: Synchro

Cute package, but very that hides a very powerful engine.

Bringing together joy and cheer, the Yummy archetype is a small package with huge disruption capabilities. With Cupsie, Cooky, Lollipo -alongside their friend, Snatchy- dancing together, the opponent will have to deal with a never-ending pile of bodies.

But wait.... there's more of them...

If the main deck monsters aren’t enough, the Yummy synchro monsters will be able to turn the tables once again with added extension, disruption, and recursion.

Dragon Tale: Fusion

An archetype focused on fusion summoning between the franchise's most popular monster types.

Completing this set is the mystical Dragon Tale archetype. Combining both Dragon and Spellcaster monster types, Dragon Tale is presented as a crossroads for players to dabble in. No matter what the player has in hand, Dragon Tale will make sure you are never without a trick up your sleeve.

Should finesse not be enough to get the job done, then brute force is still within their forte, as their extra deck fusion monsters can pair remarkably well with other archetypes.

Konami has been keeping us apprised with the roster of cards from Justice Hunters through their announcement for the Official Card Game (OCG). All we need to do is wait for official confirmation of what’s to come to Western shores.

This coming August 8th is shaping up to be another interesting milestone with the release of Justice Hunters.

With the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championships are scheduled for the tail end of August, so someone might actually dip into these new cards for extra silver bullets for their opponents.
