Twilight Masquerade releases on April 26 in Japan, but the US won't see these cards yet in English until Twilight Masquerade. Thanks to PokeBeach, we are also able to see some of the cards revealed ahead of time that are expected to be in the US series.
Some of the new cards that have been revealed are Chandelure, Alakazam, and the support card, Hassel. These cards are all final evolution forms of their respective evolutionary lines (except for Hassel, who is not a Pokémon), and they also have new basic and stage-one art design cards.
Each of these cards should be available in the Twilight Masquerade when it releases toward the end of May for the states.
Hassel
This Hassel card is a supporter card that will be a part of the Twilight Masquerade set released later this month. The translation on this card is as follows:
"You can play this card only if any of your Pokémon were Knocked Out during your opponent’s last turn." "
Look at the top 8 cards of your deck. Put up to 3 of them into your hand, and shuffle the rest into your deck."
Alakazam
Alakazam is an interesting Pokémon that has received a brand new final stage card in the upcoming Twilight Masquerade set. This Pokémon is a Psychic type, as 140 HP, and is a stage 2 that evolves from Kadabra.
"Strange Hack: Your opponent’s Active Pokémon is now Confused. Move any number of damage counters on your opponent’s Pokémon to their other Pokémon in any way you like."
"Psychic: 10+ damage. This attack does 50 more damage for each Energy attached to your opponent’s Active Pokémon."
Weakness: Darkness (x2)
Resistance: Fighting (-30)
Retreat: 1
Chandelure
Chandelure is another Stage 2 Pokémon, but it can be a decently powerful fire type. This Pokémon has received a new card in the Twilight Masquerade series. It also has 130 HP and evolves from a Pokémon called Lampent.
"Ability: Inviting Light. Once during your turn, you may use this Ability. Each player draws a card."
"Mind Ruler: 30x damage. This attack does 30 damage for each card in your opponent’s hand."
These are the three new cards that were talked about recently for the new set released in Japan. Thanks to PokeBeach for the translation of these cards.
