Pot of Greed is one of the most well-known and beloved cards in Yu Gi Oh, specifically outside of those who actually play the game. It's a card that transcends the card game thanks to its simple but powerful effect, classic artwork, and the fact that it's been around for such a long time. Thanks to these details combined, even people who played the game 20 years ago still remember it fondly. It's probably because of that that we're getting a very cool pot-themed playmat with Pot of Greed at its core.

The new playmat has not just Pot of Greed, but also classics like Pot of Benevolence, Pot of Generosity, Pot of Dichotomy, Pot of Avarice, and basically every other Pot one could hope to find on a good playmat. It serves as an incredibly cool and fairly unique take on representing the history of Yu Gi Oh, and we're actually pretty big fans of the somewhat slapdash design. It's a lot to look at, and if you're someone who wants to get your hands on it, then you'll need to play well.

That's because this mat will be debuting at the North America Team YCS Las Vegas Win-A-Mat Public Event, which is taking place on February 24-25 2024. We'd expect the mat to then come to other such events across the world after that, meaning you can hopefully get your chance to play and win the mat near you in the future.

It's worth noting that reactions to the mat itself have been a bit mixed. Some users think that the mat is a bit too busy to be worth playing on, and they're not wrong about it being a bit of a cluster, but we think it has a certain charm to it. After all, Yu-Gi-Oh! is a fairly busy game anyway, and having a mat that fits that always makes us smile.
