The physical Pokémon Trading Card Game has been popular for many years. This popularity led to the creation of online mobile games such as the Pokémon TCG Live, which allows players to have a full TCG experience. Pokémon TCG Pocket was recently created, accommodating a faster-paced game with its own sets and rules.

With the release of Pokémon TCG Pocket in October 2024, it became a massive hit with over 10 million downloads after just three days. In under two months, it accumulated over 60 million downloads and is still successful today, surpassing popular gacha games based on its monthly mobile revenues.

Pokémon TCG Pocket continues to top the charts under Gacha Revenue sourced directly from SensorTower. This revenue chart provides a rough market estimate for mobile. Based on the latest revenue chart for March 2025, Pokémon TCG Pocket beat famous gacha games under HoYoverse: Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero.

While Pokémon TCG Pocket isn't entirely a gacha game, it does have some gacha elements. Many players want to get specific cards from the booster packs, and they can do so by waiting out the time or by buying Poké Gold.

This want led to Pokémon TCG Pocket placing first in Gacha Revenue for December 2024 with over $119,000,000. In February and March 2025, it continued its reign as first on the mobile revenue charts, the game made around $91,000,000 and $84,000,000, respectively.

This amount says a lot, as the HoYoverse games have continued to rank first in these charts in the past years before Pokémon TCG Pocket's release. It's highly possible that the game will continue to top the charts as there are still a lot of cards to collect per booster pack, with more underway.
