Even though multiple reveals and rumors for new Pokémon TCG sets have been circulating across the internet, the sixth Pokémon Scarlet and Violet TCG set has finally been officially revealed today. Twilight Masquerade is the latest set to release to Pokemon TCG after the March 22 release of Temporal Forces Elite. This new series seems to center around a Pokémon that was introduced in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask DLC; Ogerpon. This Pokémon is the tentpole legendary for Scarlet and Violet’s first DLC.
Ogerpon is a special Pokémon. In its natural state, this Pokémon is a grass type, but when the Pokémon places one of its masks onto its face, it changes its type altogether. The Pokemon has a total of four different masks: Teal Mask, Wellspring Mask, Hearthflame Mask, and Cornerstone Mask. Each of these masks have Tera shards embedded into them, allowing them to offer this unique ability.
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: Twilight Masquerade, Ogerpon is on the front of the booster packs and is also getting a trainer box with its full form on the front. Not to mention, multiple of the cards shared from this set feature Ogerpon.

The trailer posted to The Pokémon Company's official page for Twilight Masquerade displays an Ogerpon EX card, showing the stunning Pokémon wearing a Teal Mask as the video gives a close-up of the card.
Not only do we get a Teal Mask EX, but there are four ex cards overall featuring Ogerpon wearing its different masks. This includes the Teal Mask EX, the Wellspring Mask Ogerpon EX, Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon EX, and Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon EX.
Players will also be able to collect an Ogre's Mask item card. This bizarre card allows your Ogerpon to swap Masks, replacing your current EX Ogerpon with another one in your discard pile. Considering that each one of these EX Pokémon offers a unique payoff, with Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon EX’s ability to prevent damage from Pokémon with abilities being particularly notable, it will be interesting to see how popular this item becomes.
So far, we have only seen a few upcoming products, including the booster packs and trainer box, which both heavily feature Ogerpon. According to Pokebeach, the official release for Twilight Masquerade is scheduled for May 24, 2024. Prereleases for the set are expected to start on May 11.
