There is an expansion pack coming to Pokémon next month, and the cards that are expected to hit the market with that booster pack have been unveiled during the 2nd day of the Japan 2024 Champions League in Fukuoka via a live stream.
SCREAM TAIL EX
One of the notable additions to the Pokemon trading card game is the Ancient-class card Scream Tail ex. This card forcibly disables your opponent from putting any Supporter cards that they’re holding into play. The card also has a secondary effect that discards energy from the other player’s active Pokémon.
However, you can only use this card if your opponent has drawn the first turn, and you must use it immediately on your first attack.
UNFAIR STAMP
This card lets you recover from a knockout. If you are holding Unfair Stamp at the moment the opponent knocks out your Pokémon, you’re both automatically compelled to return your cards to your deck. As the card owner, you can draw five new cards while the opponent takes only two cards.
BLOODMOON URSALUNA EX
A Basic card, this card features an Elder’s Technique that reduces the casting cost by 1 Colorless for every Prize Card that went to your opponent’s hand. However, the card becomes impotent or unable to attack when it’s your next turn to move. Considering how powerful Ursaluna's Blood Moon attack is, this Hyper Beam-esque downside isn't a big deal, as you'll be able to knock out a majority of your opponent's Pokémon in one hit.
The Scarlet & Violet Enhanced Expansion Pack Crimson Haze will be available for purchase on March 22, 2024. The set comes in a Booster Box that contains 30 packs and will cost JPY5,400, or roughly $36.
Many of the cards in this new set come from The Teal Mask DLC, including the characters Perrin and The Caretaker.
