From beyond the mists of the Azurite Sea, Ravensburger decided to cast aside the fog for a moment and give us a glimpse beyond the shores of Arcazia’s Island. The product line for the Reign of Jafar has officially been revealed on the official Disney Lorcana website.

Mirroring a lot of its predecessors, Reign of Jafar is shown to come with the standard array of products. On the game's official website, we can see the vanguard of the Booster Box. Advertising 12-card packs with notable pictures of Minnie, Bruno, Rapunzel, Tiana, and the titular character himself, Jafar.

Next in line, we have two new Starter Decks. Featuring the ink combinations of Amber-Amethyst and Ruby-Steel. Bruno and Tiana are the representatives for the former while Mulan and Stitch take the center stage for the latter.

An interesting note is that this set marks the third time Disney Lorcana has decided to release the ink combination of Amber and Amethyst. The first time was back in the -appropriately named- The First Chapter at the time of Disney Lorcana’s official debut. The second time was during the release of Ursula’s Return.

Veering off into the realm of speculation for a bit, we may already know the ink colors the set will focus on. This follows the release of Archazia’s Island and the introduction of Dual Ink cards, which the set focused on.

Reign of Jafar Illumineer's Trove

Diving back into the product line, we have the Ilumineer’s Trove. Once again featuring the characters from the Booster Box set, we can safely surmise that the trove will most likely contain the same kind of products from past versions starting from Into the Inklands; 1 Storage Box, 6 Card Dividers, 8 Booster Packs from the Reign of Jafar set, 6 die for tracking, and 1 Lore counter.

As a word of caution, please keep in mind that the list above for the Reign of Jafar Illumineer’s Trove is just hypothetical. This guesswork is just based on the evidence presented from past Illumineer’s Troves.

There exists the possibility that Ravensburger may change up the formula with the Reign of Jafar. This is shown in the troves from The First Chapter and Rise of the Floodborn which had a different set of contents which included deck boxes before the switch made during Into the Inkland’s release.

From here we have the usual Disney Lorcana playmats. This time the playmats feature Hades from Disney’s Hercules franchise and the Rescue Rangers gang from Disney’s animated show, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers.

For those looking to give their cards a nice looking place to call home, card sleeves and cases featuring the full art version of Mickey Mouse - Wayward Sorcerer and the enchanted art of Tinker Bell - Giant Fairy will be available once the release date hits.

Illumineer's Quest: Palace Heist

Finally, we have the crowning jewel of the announcement. Ravensburger has seen fit to return the Illumineer’s Quest product. Originally released back in Ursula’s Return with Illumineer’s Quest: Deep Trouble, this product line is Disney Lorcana’s take on a solo adventure (or co-op of up to two players) mode. This time, players will be delving into Jafar’s lair with Palace Heist.

There has been no confirmation so far of what will be included in the Illumineer’s Quest. However, the last time Ravensburger released this product, it came with a special victory card that players were advised not to look into until after beating the scenario.

For those who have yet to play Deep Trouble, we will not spoil anything in this article. However, this announcement does pique players' curiosity about what Ravensburger has in store for both the story of Disney Lorcana and the physical card game.

The Reign of Jafar is slated for a pre-release this coming May 30th while the set's official release date is scheduled for June 6th.
