The 2025 Disney Lorcana World Championship has drawn to a close. During the event, Ravensburger had provided information for the competitive scene for 2026.
Schedule for 2026
North America and Europe:
In a surprising move, Ravensburger had announced three Disney Lorcana Challenges (DLCs) for North America and Europe for its second season.
These circuits will then culminate in the region’s championship by around the third quarter of 2026.

This announcement had roused confusion among the community. Players are clamoring for more major events, so many were left baffled as to why little was planned for 2026.
Looking back at 2024 to 2025, North America held six DLCs while Europe had four of their own. This count doesn’t include the respective regional championships.
The lowered number of DLCs planned was not the only subject of conversation. Some viewers during the livestream also took umbrage with Ravensburger’s choice of venues.
There was a distinct lack of locations featured on the West Coast for North America as well as Canada.

The European schedule did not escape scrutiny either; viewers also noticed how Ravensburger had not included France and the United Kingdom in their line-up of venues.
Australia:

This is a little bit of a footnote compared to the discussions being generated from its regional counterparts. Australia has also been given another DLC as of this upcoming season.
The difference this time is that there will be a qualifier held in Auckland this coming November before the main event in Melbourne the following February.
The Rest of the World:

While North America and Europe suffered a decrease in major Disney Lorcana tournaments, Ravensburger had expanded its operations across the world.
Ravensburger had also announced that they’d be holding DLCs in the regions of China, Japan, and Brazil. China will be hosting up to three different DLCs, while Japan and Brazil will have a set of two each.
Worlds 2026:

Ravensburger’s plans have also included the groundwork for the 2026 Disney Lorcana World Championship. During the livestream, they’ve already listed the number of invites for their grandest event.
Assuming these plans don’t change, we’re looking at twenty-seven invites spread across various regions. Interestingly enough, this is one less than the total number of players that were invited for this year’s (2025) world championship.
Some DLC Details
Best of Threes:

With some focus on the North American and European DLCs, Ravensburger has also released further information that may pique the interest of players who may have plans to attend these DLCs.
Ravensburger has officially changed how the DLCs will be conducted. No longer under Best of 2, the Swiss Rounds will now be held with a Best of 3 format. Instead of the original 9 rounds of Swiss, there will be 12 rounds of Swiss to be held across both days of the event.
The second day will definitely have a packed schedule. Featuring the last third of Swiss Rounds, the event will then launch into a Top 32 Single Elimination Bracket (Best of 3) before closing off with a Best of 5 format for the Grand Finals.
During the livestream, casters mentioned that Ravensburger would be requiring local game stores to follow the Best of 3 format to help facilitate this transition when hosting tournaments of their own.
Infinity Constructed at the DLC:

It wasn’t that long ago when the Disney Lorcana community was introduced to the legacy format, Infinity Constructed. Ravensburger promised support, and it looks like they are delivering.
Each DLC to be held in North America and Europe for the upcoming season will feature a side-event with Infinity Constructed.
Part of the announcement also emphasized that each region’s third DLC specifically will have a main event dedicated to Infinity Constructed.
Aside from this, we’ll have to wait and see for any further details. We already know that Infinity Constructed will host its own separate ban list from core constructed. For now, Ravensburger has been tight-lipped on what’s on said list.
Prizing:
No official tournament is complete without prizes.

While the coveted Golden Foil copy of Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Tailor is reserved for the crème de la crème of the DLC (the top eight), players who make it to the top thirty-two will be able to get a special foil promotional version of Elsa - Ice Maker.
Those that survive to the top sixteen will also be able to pair their new Elsa with a playmat as well.

These are not the only special promotional cards available for participants to earn. Those making it to the top sixty-four can earn a promotional version of Simba - Pride Protector.
Those who are able to win five rounds from Swiss can also net a copy of Mulan - Charging Ahead. Just for attending, players will already get a special copy of Pegasus - Gift for Hercules.
Those with eagle eyes will also notice that Pegasus, in particular, has been given the set number for the upcoming Fabled expansion. This will confirm this card’s status as a reprint and protect it from the upcoming set rotation later in the year.
