As April 2025 arrives, we can look back at March and see that much of the second-hand market for Disney Lorcana has changed since the last time we looked at its current trending leaders.

5. Strength of a Raging Fire

Same ink color, different card.

Bringing up the rear, a different card has made its way to this list. Strength of Raging Fire has been a major bane for any early game board presence ever since Steel has been paired up with Sapphire.

The latter ink color brings Belle - Apprentice Inventor to Steel’s accessible roster. By the second turn, anyone opposing Sapphire-Steel would have to accept the fact that a character hitting the field with 3 or less willpower can be immediately taken out of play.

So far, Strength of a Raging Fire has seen consistent exchanges in second-hand markets like TCGplayer. The month of March had seen this action card starting out at a $15 average till peaking at about $20 midway.

Currently, Strength of a Raging Fire is descending back down -probably due to all the deck testing being done since the release of Archazia’s Island- to a $19 average with some cold foil copies easily doubling that price ($38 to $40).

There’s also this expectation with the online community that Ravensburger may not make any reprints for their older Disney Lorcana sets outside of a select promotional version of specific cards.

The moment a major regional tournament happens and this song is seen as an integral piece to a winning deck, Strength of the Raging Fire may immediately jump back up in price.

So keep an eye out for any major tournaments to see when it would be a good time to offload any extra copies.

4. Diablo - Devoted Herald

One of the best counters Emerald has to incessant card draw.

While not the most popular of the ink colors in the current environment, Emerald has solidified itself as an excellent toolbox against its rivals. Currently, Diablo - Devoted Herald has cemented its place as one of Disney Lorcana’s top-selling cards for the current times.

Already starting out as a Legendary rarity card from the 4th set (Ursula’s Return), Diablo - Devoted Herald had a leg-up in commanding a price worth its weight. Starting off March at about $23, Diablo has done nothing but chart a steady upward course where it’s currently sitting on a $33 market average.

Thankfully, cold foil copies of Diablo - Devoted Herald are not seeing the absurd price jump that other highly prized cards normally see. Cold Foil copies of this Diablo range anywhere from $33 to about $42.

Over on the gameplay side of things, this is probably Emerald’s strongest weapon against decks fielding Sapphire or Amethyst with their never-ending draw support like Hiram Flaversham - Toymaker or -ironically- Diablo - Obedient Raven.

Being able to ride off the coattails of the opponent’s draw engine make playing against such absurdly consistent decks a lot more palatable.

3. Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing

The only returning card from the last Best Selling List.

The only returnee from our last best-selling list, this legendary rarity card from The First Chapter release needs no further introduction. A staple piece to the Amber’s arsenal, Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing saw a rather interesting tale this past month.

While Rapunzel's price has seen some volatility over March, it currently sits around $51, but Cold Foil sales have pushed her market price to $56.

Unfortunately, as more time passes, Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing may see its price floor continue to rise even if its current market value doesn’t change that much.

Being from The First Chapter expansion, a legendary rarity card, and no official announcement of a reprint in sight, Amber may be set to hold the title of “Most Expensive” ink color to play if an alternative to Rapunzel isn’t found in Amber’s main list of tools.

2. Scrooge McDuck - Resourceful Miser

One-half of Sapphire's value train ever since the release Archazia's Island.

The first entry on this list not coming from an older expansion, Scrooge McDuck - Resourceful Miser is one of Sapphire’s dastardly mid-game drops.

Having the ability to be cheated out of the deck with 4 items instead of ink cost on top of a 4 card dig through the deck adds more consistency to the item-focused Sapphire ink.

Thankfully, unlike most cards of the same tier of rarity, Scrooge McDuck doesn’t have the heightened price command. This is mostly due to the fact that Scrooge -or at least this version of him- was just released in Archazia’s Island.

Similar to Rapunzel, Scrooge has seen a decent amount of volatility. The card currently sits around $24, but fell to as low as $19 at release, and rebounded to $39 for a period of time.

Some cold foil copies -specially those near mint condition- could easily double-up their price. That said, on average, it looks like this version of Scrooge McDuck is a more reasonable purchase for anyone interested in playing an item-focused Sapphire deck.

But take this with a grain of salt; the Reign of Jafar and the Fabled expansion sets are already underway and the second-hand market has always been a fickle place when it comes to item prices.

1. Tamatoa - Happy as a Clam

Clamping his way to the top of the list.

Another part of Sapphire’s item engine, if Resourceful Miser was the bridge across the mid-game, Tamatoa - Happy as a Clam is the jaws of the trap snapping shut for the late game.

This big body crustacean will ensure that the item engine’s card advantage will never run out if he’s not properly addressed by the opponent.

Taking the top spot, Tamatoa - Happy as a Clam shares similarities with last month’s Maui - Half-Shark when it comes to market trends.

With somewhat modest beginnings -if you can call Tamatoa’s $48 pre-order price as modest- this card shot up in value as the month was hitting its midpoint to around $66. Tamatoa then followed Scrooge’s footsteps as he started to decline in value to its current $52 average.

As usual, cold foils are the more expensive version, easily asking buyers to fork over an extra $30+ dollars depending on the sellers.

It’s a little suspect as to why Tamatoa has a higher price demand than Scrooge as they are of the same card rarity and from the same expansion set.

With the dust settled and a shuffle taking place, the second-hand market demonstrates why it waxes and wanes like the tides of a beach. We will revisit this list next month and see which cards manage to stay relevant to be listed as Disney Lorcana’s Top Selling Cards.
