There’s no better time to be a Dragon Ball AND a trading card game fun than now.

Bandai is currently hosting celebratory events for its new TCG, the Dragon Ball Super Card Fusion World, and is inviting players to join and get a chance to win gold versions of the FP-006 Son Goku and FP-007 Vegeta Battle Cards.

The event, which celebrates the release of the Awakened Pulse booster, started last week on February 23 and will continue for two more weeks until March 15.

Players can join by applying at the nearest authorized store, which will facilitate the application through TCG+. After applying, players will receive a tournament kit and join the matches.

Bandai itself recommends a Best of One Match format with a Match length of 20 minutes. Recommended overtime should be up to 5 minutes only and limited to three extra turns. However, every store has the freedom to change the actual format if there’s a need.

Interested players should get in touch with participating game stores in their area to confirm the application process and the actual gameplay format.

Aside from the Gold versions, players who don’t win matches will receive the non-Gold versions of the two cards.

The FP-006 Son Goku card features Son Goku’s Super Saiyan God form. When used to attack, it lets you pick a Battle Card with up to 10,000 power from your opponent’s play area and knock it out.

On the other hand, the FP-007 Vegeta card, which contains Vegeta’s Super Saiyan God form, forces your opponent to return one of their Battle Cards to their hand when put into play.

However, you can only put this into effect if you have seven cards or less. The enemy Battle Cards must also cost 2 or less to be returned to the hand.

Visit your local game store now and see if they’re participating in this celebratory promotion event!
