At long last, the Reign of Jafar has officially been released. Players are already getting their hands busy testing the new cards, and while that’s happening, the market has quickly begun to move.

It’s only the opening weekend for the set, but it’s also a good time to set up a control group.

With the Disney Lorcana World Championship happening at the end of the month, the second-hand market will only get more volatile as cards perform well.

As a general disclaimer, this listing will not include any Enchanted rarity cards as they are not as easily accessible as their normal counterparts.

Desperate Plan

It's a good alternative to Bold Knight due to its versatility for saving certain cards..

We’re starting off this list with a card that some players consider a straight upgrade to Doc - Bold Knight.

Desperate Plan has started this opening weekend with an average price range of about $6-7. Despite being somewhat cheap, an overwhelming amount of copies have been sold on second-hand markets like TCGplayer, over 900 to be more precise

At the moment, current listings are reaching upwards of $10, and the current market trend is steadily ticking up.

If players find more success with Desperate Plan as Steel’s answer to mid-game card draw, then this card may easily get even more expensive.

Tramp - Dapper Rascal

Dapper Rascal's ability is definitely helping its performance.

A pretty surprising performance, Dapper Rascal has started out the opening weekend just as strong as Desperate Plan. With over 800 copies sold at an average price range of $5-6, the current prices are already hitting $7-8.

That said, we’re unsure how much of this value is predicated on Dapper Rascal’s ability to be cheated out with Morph - Space Goo or Tramp's actual viability.

For the current rotation, we can see Dapper Rascal’s market price continue to go up.

Tramp’s ability to trade a banished body for card draw is highly invaluable and welcomed in any deck. This is especially true when played on curve with Tramp’s Shift line.

Lilo - Causing an Uproar

She has great potential, but she can be a little unwieldy to use.

Causing an Uproar had a more modest showing this opening week with just over 500 copies exchanging hands.

Being a Legendary card, though, she makes up for the lowered numbers by price point. Copies of Lilo were being sold last weekend at $22 on average. Current listings are showing copies asking for $27 to $30 already.

Causing an Uproar may be facing a downward trend, though. While cold foil copies may push the analytics up now and again, players may be thinking that this Ruby card may not be so easy to wield in an actual game.

Unless we see a bombastic showing in the tournament scenes, we can only surmise that Causing an Uproar may not be able to keep its standing and may slowly fall off in value.

Players interested in getting copies of Causing an Uproar may wish to wait and see what the future holds.

Lady - Family Dog

Now might be a good time to nab all your copies if you weren't lucky enough to get a full set yet.

We had a good feeling that Lady - Family Dog would be one of the cards to keep an eye on. Her performance for the opening week is plenty proof that our first impressions were on the money.

With an average market price of about $13 and over 800 copies sold, there are already listings asking for between $16 and $20 on TCGplayer. As if this weren't enough already, the market trend only seems to be steadily shooting upwards.

Thankfully, her rarity level means getting a full set won’t be as price-gouging as Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing. That said, as the number of available stocks decreases, the laws of supply and demand might come into play.

Anyone wishing to use Amber for the months to come may want to grab all four copies now before scarcity pushes Family Dog’s prices further skyward.

Namaari - Single-Minded Rival

Namaari has a strong ability package but the current card pool doesn't favor her at the moment.

Our last card on this list, Single-Minded Rival, had a strong showing over at the average price point, around $30.

With a modest amount of around 400 copies sold on the second-hand market this past weekend, Single-Minded Rival is already showing a price decline. That said, Single-Minded Rival may be suffering from being released ahead of its time, so their price could change in the future.

In the current rotation, there are too many answers to her impressive Strength gain. Direct banishment like Dragon Fire easily deals with Namaari on curve.

For ink colors outside of Ruby, there are other answers with Into the Unknown or old staples like And Then Along Came Zeus to single-handedly delete Namaari.

Single-Minded Rival’s price value will be held up by its rarity, but it will remain to be seen how long this will last or how fast the decline will go.

Interested players may want to be patient, unless the status quo changes in Namaari’s favor dramatically overnight, then this card may be cheaper to get later rather than sooner.
