The first week of May has been quite busy. Ravensburger has recently announced its plans for the future of Disney Lorcana. One of which includes an official Set Rotation come the release of the game’s ninth expansion, Fabled.
With the Fabled set slated for launch this coming August, it’ll be interesting to see how the market will shift now that shelf life has been placed on long-running staples.
5. Genie - Wish Fulfilled

To start off our list of the top-selling Disney Lorcana cards from May, we have Genie - Wish Fulfilled. Genie started the month of April with a modest $9 average.
From there, it was just a steady upward market trend to a $12 average as Amethyst players started to shift away from the old standards of Merlin - Rabbit or Magic Broom - Illuminary Keeper.
This upward movement was kept until the 23rd of April. Afterwards, copies of Genies slid back down to a $10 price over the course of a couple of days. Then from the 26th to the 28th, Genie - Wish Fulfilled jumped up a $13 average.
This sudden increase in price was also accompanied by a good number of copies exchanging hands. From April 26th to April 28th, over 100 copies were sold on TCGplayer.
While we have no evidence of correlation, there were a couple of tournaments that took place over those three days across the world.
According to the data collected by InkDecks.com, a lot of top-performing decks sported Amethyst as one of the ink colors used and had Genie - Wish Fulfilled as part of their lineup.
It’s possible that the sudden influx of positive market movement influenced the purchasing decisions of a lot of players who are using Amethyst as one of their color combinations.
There’s also the fact that Genie’s value is kept in check because he was released back in the 6th set, Azurite Sea, and because of his somewhat average rarity.
As copies of Azurite Seas become more difficult to find, Genie’s value may just start to climb upwards again. He’s a solid board presence and can replace himself due to his draw function the moment he hits the field.
As part of the 6th expansion in Disney Lorcana’s lineup, Genie has secured his safety in Core Constructed until the second Set Rotation comes about.
4. Robin Hood - Champion of Sherwood

Despite being higher on this list, the story of Robin Hood - Champion of Sherwood isn’t as hopeful as Genie’s.
The Champion of Sherwood was at a very decent $21 average at the start of April. This was thanks to Legendary, Robin Hood’s rarity, which commanded such taxation.
While the month was still young, Robin Hood - Champion of Sherwood managed to climb to a $22 to $23 price at its peak, but that is where the success ended. As the month wore on, this card’s price saw it slowly slid back down in value to its original price average.
Robin Hood then managed to wring out a little bit of life, briefly exchanging hands at a $22 market average. This success was short-lived, however. A few days later, the market saw the Champion of Sherwood drop to about $19 to $20 once May began.
This was even lower than its market value at the start of April.
At the moment, Robin Hood - Champion of Sherwood is at a $20 average. This may be because SteelSong (Amber-Steel) is one of the strongest competitive performers for this rotation.
A cheap shift line, robust stats, an alternative ability to gain lore, and a draw if he should be removed from the board. Champion of Sherwood does offer a nearly complete package to his player.
The writing may be on the wall, though. Both the Champion of Sherwood and its usual shift target, Beloved Outlaw, are in danger of being rotated out with the launch of the ninth set. Legendary rarity or not, this card's market value may just plummet.
That said, we don’t know the details for Ravensburger’s legacy format, Infinity Constructed. If Ravensburger produces proper support for this alternative format, there’s a good chance for Robin Hood to recoup its lost value.
3. Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing
The story of Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing is a tale as old as time, as she takes number three on this list, again. Unfortunately, that time may be running out.

Rapunzel - Gifted with Healing started the month commanding a $51 price tag. Considering Rapunzel comes from Disney Lorcana's first ever set, and has a high rarity, this price tag is no surprise. The same is true of the fact that this price tag climbed to a $57 average just a few days into the month.
However, it was all downhill from there. At the time of this article’s writing, Gifted with Healing is sitting at a $44 market value in second-hand markets.
Despite being one of Amber’s strongest pieces in the game currently, it is also one of its oldest. With discussions and interest in a Set Rotation, her shelf life came into question.
With the recent announcement from Ravensburger, it was the final nail in the coffin.
We’re pretty sure this card’s value just won’t drop like a stone to near nothing. However, there’s no denying Gifted with Healing will no longer reach the same heights of popularity it used to have.
That said, there’s no reason to just offload all your copies. Infinity Constructed, the legacy format for Disney Lorcana, is being planned out. There is always a chance for Gifted with Healing to be rotated back into legal status for Classic Core Constructed.
If you have spare copies, now would probably be a good time to sell them. But keep a full set for yourself just in case.
2. Tamatoa - Happy as a Clam

It seems not even the youngest of cards to enter Disney Lorcana’s roster are exempt from falling in value. Tamatoa - Happy as a Clam is no stranger to these kinds of lists. This time, however, it looks like the market hasn’t been kind to this crustacean, or so it would seem.
Starting April with a $52 average, Tamatoa - Happy as Clam went full downhill, where it’s now sitting at a $37 price point. Despite the downward trend in price, copies of the card have exchanged hands at an average of fifteen pieces a day throughout April.
Happy as a Clam’s original market value was more than likely inflated due to the sheer card advantage it had with Hiram Flaversham - Toymaker before Ravensburger enacted its emergency ban.
With how diverse the competitive scene has become, Tamatoa’s dominance in the market has lessened.
It’s not enough to make Happy as a Clam a shadow of its former self, but it’s becoming more affordable for those who still want to run an item-focused Sapphire deck.
1. Maui - Half-Shark
Rising from the ashes of obscurity, Maui - Half-Shark clawed its way to the top spot for this list.

Half-Shark started off April at about $40. This is a little on the pricier side of Disney Lorcana cards, but he is a Legendary rarity card, so it comes as no surprise.
As the month of April continued, however, Maui - Half-Shark had reached its peak around the 21st of April, where it lorded over a $64 average with the occasional cold foil just skipping into the $70 to $80 range.
At this time, Maui - Half-Shark has slid down to a little more modest $52 average.
That said, interested Ruby players may want to keep an eye on this card. As part of the Azurite Sea expansion, Half-Shark has at least another year (4 sets) worth of shelf life before it’s rotated out of Core Constructed.
Depending on how things shake up with the upcoming sets, Maui - Half-Shark may just cement itself in a lot of Ruby decks. His overall offensive package just runs over most mid-game glimmers.
